PostSubject: Darkstars Guide to Anti-Farming   Wed Sep 10, 2008 8:41 pm

UPDATE:
From FAQ:
Resources you offer at the marketplace will be plundered when the attacking troops have still enough room after emptying your warehouse and granary!

If you are reading this, chances are you have been a constant victim of farming.
Well I know exactly what you're going through. That's why I have written this guide.

I hope it helps, Enjoy & Good Luck!

The key to protecting your resources is not building one cranny after another. Your village has a limited number of spaces for buildings so it's best not to build cranny's on all of your empty spaces, plus they don't have any other use or benefits. Instead Just build 1 cranny and level it up to level 10. If you log in enough this should cover you just fine.

Now the secret to making this work is having a high enough leveled Market Place so that when you notice an incoming attack you can list as much of your resources as you can for sale at a really high price (2:1) as well as set the Maximum transport time to 1 hour. Leveling your market place to level 10 is going to be really helpful and has so many more benefits then a cranny.

This will deduct the listed amount from your resources
and once the attack is over you can simply cancel the sale.

Simple enough right?

So lets do a quick rundown of what you need.....

1. Build a Level 10 Cranny
2. Build a Level 10 Market Place
3. Post resources for sale at a rate of 2:1 before attack
with a Max travel time of 1 hour. Then once attack is over, cancel sale, and your resources will return to you.

Wouldn't that instigate a full-on attack? ...or does everyone else do this?

No, and you would do the same with your soldiers if you believed the other army
was much larger. For Example if you just started to build your army an were under attack.

Allot of people do this when starting off.

When I see an attack coming, and luck for me they are always more than 20hrs away, I

1: Sell stuff. I don't post anything but I go to the market place and choose a sale that will take forever to get to me. This way I don't risk losing my stuff.

2: Send my troops on an attack. I usually wait until the attacker is about 2hrs away, then i send my boys to a village that is about 1-2hrs away. Since that means the total trip will be around 3-4hrs, I'm safe.

3: Before selling anything, I try to build as much as I can. Then once I don't have enought to build, I sell. But I build like crazy.

I got hit bad this weekend (oops) but I didn't really lose much but some troops and I already rebuilt to the same number. And, I have some reinforcing my sister's village.
