When I see an attack coming, and luck for me they are always more than 20hrs away, I

1: Sell stuff. I don't post anything but I go to the market place and choose a sale that will take forever to get to me. This way I don't risk losing my stuff.

2: Send my troops on an attack. I usually wait until the attacker is about 2hrs away, then i send my boys to a village that is about 1-2hrs away. Since that means the total trip will be around 3-4hrs, I'm safe.

3: Before selling anything, I try to build as much as I can. Then once I don't have enought to build, I sell. But I build like crazy.

I got hit bad this weekend (oops) but I didn't really lose much but some troops and I already rebuilt to the same number. And, I have some reinforcing my sister's village.

3. Post resources for sale at a rate of 2:1 before attack
with a Max travel time of 1 hour. Then once attack is over, cancel sale, and your resources will return to you.

Wouldn't that instigate a full-on attack? ...or does everyone else do this?

No, and you would do the same with your soldiers if you believed the other army
was much larger. For Example if you just started to build your army an were under attack.

Allot of people do this when starting off.
